Every family has a friend or loved one that is affected by a challenge or struggle in their life. We hear many of these stories from the families that we work with. Hear are some causes that are near and dear to our heart.
Susan G Komen 3 Day for the Cure
Sharelooms founder is a three time walker of the 3-Day.
In 2011, Sharelooms Founder, Heather, participated in her first Susan G. Komen 3 Day with her cousin Jessica. It was an amazing and emotional experience completing such a monumental walk to do our part to end breast cancer. We met and heard lots of inspirational stories from breast cancer survivors. The event was very well organized and we would recommend it to anyone. Since then her cousin lost her Mom to breast cancer and Heather lost her dear Aunt. Heather also lost her Dad to Cancer so this cause is near and dear to her heart.
Here is a fun video of their 2011 Washington D.C. Susan G Komen 3 Experience.
Sharelooms is proud to support Joggin’ for Frogmen. It’s a great organization that raises money to support the families of the brave Navy SEALs that sacrificed their life so our families can live safe and free. Joggin’ for Frogmen’s mission is “To bring men, women and children together to jog in honor of our Navy SEALs (Frogmen) and all military Heroes who have sacrificed their lives for us while protecting our country. We support these service members and their families because we maintain the belief that “One of the greatest things we can do to support our military Heroes is to give back to the foundations that support our military families.” Join one of their 5K races to support this great cause.
Tsunami Photo Restoration
Sharelooms was proud to volunteer our photo restorations skills help the All Hands Volunteers Photo Rescue Efforts. Photos are a families most prized possession and unfortunately when natural disasters like a tsunami hit, there is not enough time to save them. The All Hands Photo Rescue effort worked with families hit by the tsunami to clean and restore their photos. For some families these restored photos were all that they had left of their family.
